For many last Wednesday was just a day like any other, struggling through mid-week, waiting till it's Friday to get some time off. But last Wednesday was an event night for me -and many others- in which Chadstone, the Fashion Capital, hosted the Vogue Australia Runway Show in which several designers showed us their pieces for the spring/summer season. Oh yes, because we are not yet over runways! Read more after the break...
Cobalt Blue
Aiming to be the colour of the season, these are the pieces from Carla Zampatti, Lover, Trenery, and Armani Exchange
Urban Nomad
A casual, carefree, even bohemian style showing pieces from Adolfo Dominguez, Morrison, and Gorman
City Luxe
A stylish look in bold colours accesorized with metallic necklaces, belts and cuffs with pieces from Calvin Klein, Josh Goot, Gary Bigeni, Country Road, Saba, Thurley, Escada.
Embellishment
Shimmering dresses are the key piece for this season, displaying dresses from Sass & Bide, Manning Cartell and Thurley
Graphic Print
Ain't there nothing like 'too matchy-matchy', specially when having these one- and two-pieces from Veronika Maine, Arthur Galan, Calvin Klein, Lisa Ho, Thurley, Manning Cartell
Strong Elegance
As its name says it, an elegant and girly (with the exception of the man-wear) collection with nude, soft colours showing pieces from Thurley, Carla Zampatti, Manning Cartell
Age of Romance
Closing the runway, the elegant displays from Thurley, Sass & Bide, Witchery, Calibre, Leona Edmiston, Adolfo Dominguez, Lisa Ho and Escada
And if this was not good enough, I was able to go to the Australian Designer Cocktail Party presented by Vogue Australia afterwards (a very special thanks to Mallory from Cry Little Sister for letting me be her +1) in which we relaxed a bit too much chatting with some bubbly drinks from Laurent-Perrier and having some really nice canapés. Fun night!
