With the start of spring, not only does the flowers start blossoming and the sun begins to shine and bring warmth but at the same time flowers are being printed into suits and neon shoes start to shine. We are welcoming here Fashion Week.
The first day of runways was open with the race collection for David Jones, with designs from Camilla and Marc, Trelise Cooper, Willow, among others. Giving the fact that the Spring Racing Carnival is not only a horse racing series but it is also a big fashion event, this was a great way to display new trends for those date.
The hosts, Jesinta Campbell (left) and Emma Freedman (right), introduced each piece from this colourful display where we could see that what it's staying for spring/summer is both the brights colours such as citrus orange, fuschia and turquoise, and pastel hues.

Not only is lace still on the spot for the different designs, but spring is also bringing the floral prints into the maximum expression. In this case we can observe that the pant suits are back, with an edgy look. Just remember to keep accessories to a minimum when wearing something like this.

Hats are a statement piece, and for this collection, the Great Gatsby was a versatile inspiration. Just remember to add a scarf to add embellishment.

To sum up, this season there is no way you are not wearing brights, mixing it up with a nice headpice. Remember that if you're getting ready for the races, go to your hairdresser with your hat so he/she can pin it into your hair. And for those wild and creative prints now you know how to wear them. Have fun!
