Seriously, where did the week go? This question comes up almost every Saturday and yet I seem to fail to slow down the time. Perhaps, this is part of the reason why I always feel a little tired comes weekend.
So are you enjoying the fashion week? I was so excited about day one and my discovery of Michael Angel. I can’t seem to get those clothes out of my head. I think I am obsessed (a little) and need to find a way to distract my poor brain before it explodes.
I was also surprised to see an editorial from the July issue of Vogue Spain 2011 featuring Crystal Renn who looked positively slim. Google supported me by providing a recent article about Crystal’s weight loss.
You know what made me jump and say “Ah-ha!”? Allow me to quote: Crystal “insists that the pound fell off naturally as she began to take a healthier approach to life.” So now I want to question all those editors who said that she was already healthy etc. as a plus-size model – at what point they believe in their own words or did they just want to be more popular by saying those things?
I actually like Crystal whatever size she is, but I’ve always maintained that a healthy person (the one who is following a healthy balanced diet and is truly healthy – apparently there are a lot of people who never get to experience that) is hardly ever overweight and here is yet another proof. I particularly enjoy my brownie points right now because Crystal, who is no longer a plus size model, has crossed to the other side that, as we are often told by the same magazine editors etc., is the “unhealthy one”. I rest my case. Yet again. The thing is, you cannot fool Mother Nature – if one eats badly or the diet is simply unbalanced, one is likely to gain weight and once the diet is back to normal, the weight loss will follow.
Changing the subject now. Yesterday I found out that Scott Schuman will be releasing his second book in a few months. A big Thank you to Ada who mentioned it on her blog and put a smile on my face.
Another thing that I loved was an article on Vogue website with plenty of beautiful photos of Chanel Spring Couture 2012 collection taken inside the atelier while those stunning pieces were designed and made. Looks a bit like magic.
And that’s about it for now. I suspect we will be spending a lot of our weekend at home as the roads are frozen and a long trip somewhere nice may not happen. So it’s going to be warm, cosy, DVD and cookies kind of weekend here and I would like to wish you a good one, too.
Always yours,
