Nail art is everywhere! Really, everywhere! Wherever you look at, someone's nails on the train, in pinterest, on your facebook, someone decided to start a business with it, and then even in your hands. Yes my dear, we all have tried it.
I tend to do my nails while watching some TV show or movie, in order to get distracted because I'm kind of a multi-tasker and I can't just watch TV and do nothing else (unless it's Lost). So let's go back a few years and remember the basics for doing our own nails. Read this step by step from The Beauty Department for the routine basic manicure. And remembering when the maximum thing you'll do to your nails was the french manicure, here's a tutorial on how to perfect this type of mani at your own house. Back to basics.
But ... what if you do want to take out the conventional way of showing your nails? How can you do them? And, will you be able to wear them if you are working? Well yes my friend! Take a peek at this inspiring nails (that psst psst, you can do at your own home).

While some of these you can rock on during work, you can adjust some of them for a weekend out or even some event that you have to attend. For example, number 1 can be used in a pinkish subtle tone and it won't scream "Look at me" during office hours and yet it would be something out of the ordinary to the routine office dress code. Number 2 is something a bit more eccentric, something you might want to use for movie time, or catch up dinner with your friends (same as number 4). Number 3 is quite elegant depending on the colours used, and you can nail them from a job interview to a friends' wedding (same as number 5). Now, number 6 you can mix and match with the colours of your outfit and nail them while having some drinks with your friends or for some party rock.
I've certainly tried several of them at different moments and I can tell you they look really nice. I'm glad that I have no dress code for work and I can use them any time anywhere, but still keeping it nice, clean and simple.
