Well kiddos, another year went by and I'm one step closer to the 30's. But I'm not scared of my age (28 by the way), I don't hate it or feel ashamed of it. I've lived, so much, and done so many things that I am happy with my life.
I was reading some fbk group posts about bucket lists and then checking on my own and you know what, I can kick that bucket list's ass! I've done so many things that are not there that are way better and amazing. So many things that people don't realize they should be part of a bucket list. So, here I am, about to tell you some of the many things I've done so far (prepare yourself, this might be a long post with lots of photos).
In no order of merit or chronological order or any thing ... just as it pops into my mind.
1. I've been to the most amazing, breath-taking (literally) places, like Machu Picchu (Wonder of the World, check)
2. I've done kayak in Halong Bay (and almost got killed crashed by a boat but survived to blog about it). Wonder of the World, check.
3. I've seen the most amazing sunsets in different parts of the world
4. And amazing sunrises
5. I've camped in the most unexpected random places ever (such as a deserted farm and a bazillion year old un-maintained cabin)
6. I've partied. Hard. And really hard.
7. I've met famous people (cast of American Pie)
8. I've met one of my favourite artists (David Lachapelle)
9. And a new fave writer (Zoe Foster)
10. I've got lost wandering through old temples
11. Learned new cultures
12. Learned the importance of life
13. Ate things I wouldn't thought of tasting (like guinea pig, frog and durian)
14. Enjoyed the most amazing concerts (such as Oasis, My chemical romance, Green Day, New Found Glory, MxPx, Katy Perry, David Guetta, U2, and coming soon ... Coldplay!)
15. Be amazed by wildlife
16. Let me feet guide me through sand, rocks, water, snow
17. Let me feet be eaten -massaged- by fish
18. Enjoyed the journey more than the destination
19. Relaxed at amazing beaches
20. And in the no-photograph category (thankfully), the crazy ones: went for a swim in my underwear while in a road trip, stolen a cab out of a party, flashed from a taxi, stalked a stripper with my friend, go to class drunk, fallen in love and out of love, jumped from the top of a boat into the water, left everything and moved abroad, faced my fear to roller-coasters, have a lot of summer flings and ... geez, some others better not say (besides, I don't quite remember).
So ... what can I say? I've lived my life in an amazing way. I love it. And my journey is not over. I might not be a millionaire and I might not own expensive stuff but to see a kid smile and hug me after I shared my tic-tacs with them, is worth a million bucks. Happy Birthday to me (belated because it was on the 2nd)!
