Hello there. I thought of helping some new bloggers out there with their blogs and help them pimp them (idea came from my friend who has started her own blog and I was helping her with some blog-issues). So I'll start posting ways to re-arrange and modify things from your blog so they look nicer.
Have you ever wondered how can you do to increase the width of your blog posts or your sidebar? Here we'll learn very easily how to do so.
First, go to your Dashboard. Click on the arrow-head in the middle button next to your blog name and search for Template. Click there.
Once there, you'll go and click where it says "Customize". The Template Designer will open.
You'll see a preview of your blog and some options in the black part. Go to 'Adjust widths' and you'll find (depending on your number of columns) two bars, one for the entire blog and the other for the right sidebar (if you have 2 columns you'll find a bar for the left and a bar for the right sidebar of your blog). You can modify the width of your blog up to 1500px. I chose 1000px just because it's easier to see in every computer. While moving the bars, check the preview of your blog until you feel happy with it. Click on "Apply to Blog" and voilà.
Now you're ready to see your posts wider, and that will allow you to upload bigger photos that will stay within the margins of your blog, like the ones I have on mine (tip for that: If your blog width is 1000px, save your images at a width of 600 or 1000px so that when you upload them you can put them at their original size and they'll remain within the margins of your blog).
